This post is at least 5+ years in the making! Well, technically longer than that. You see, Jill is one of my closest friends. Our girls have grown up together since age 1 and they just happen to be very best friends also! Jill and I have plotted to do a “real” family photoshoot for her family for years and years now and somehow we’ve just never gotten around to actually doing it. Well, this time we agreed we would meet for lunch, get out the calendar and put it on the schedule for REAL and that’s exactly what we did! I’m so very, very honored that we got to do this shoot for this sweet family. The kids were amazing and giggly and as sweet as ever and my heart just breaks into a million tiny little pieces (in a good way) when they say “I LOVE Miss Cindy!” I love these children as if they were my own. I mean LOOK at those sweet faces. How could you not be in love at first sight?!
This girl, THIS girl……..She is my daughter, Mia’s, very best friend. I just pray that they will always value their friendship and realize that sometimes silly things like boys, mean girls and competition can get in the way of a friendship, but that REAL, TRUE and HONEST friendship is something that not everyone has and that they are so very lucky to have found each other at such a young age. I have to say that I am extremely blessed that Mia and I got a two-fer in friendship. Michaela is such a good friend, because she has an excellent role model in her mommy and there are a few days that I couldn’t have survived without her friendship. So blessed!!!
Last year Saylor and I had family portraits done and my favorite part of the session was when we got to do photos of just the two of us together. It made me feel all giddy and giggly and remember who we were back when we first got married. That feeling is exactly what I wanted to gift to my sweet friend Jill. The photos are great and a wonderful memory for them to display in their beautiful new home, but what I REALLY wanted to give her was that feeling. Nailed it! 😉 As long as I’ve know this couple I’ve never seen this side of them together and it made my heart SO happy. SOOOOOO happy! So, since you know kids can never allow parents to have snuggle time without them included I loved that as soon as I snapped the photo above THIS happened……………..
And then THIS happened………family hugs are the best!
Thanks Amabile family for trusting us and for all the laughs and tears over the years. I hope we can make this an annual event!!! Get your calendar ready for next year. 😉 Much love to y’all! ~Cindy & Saylor
Thank you for sharing these. The Amabiles are such a sweet family! They were such good friends when we lived in that area and we miss them terribly. Congratulations on capturing such fantastic pictures of this family. I know they will treasure them.
You are such an awesome friend! Thank you!
