Oh Goodness, where do I even begin?!!! Nikki and Chase have become like family to us over the last year that we have been working with them. I have photographed just about every session possible with these two and Nikki alone and we even had the honor of being asked to document Nikki’s grandparents 60 year vow renewal. That was a highlight of our year to be sure. To say we were looking forward to Nikki and Chase’s wedding would be an understatement!
There were SO MANY special touches that made Nikki and Chase’s wedding day personal. Chase’s brother crafted a very special drink just for them and brought it all the way from Colorado! These cufflinks were one of the most touching personal details. Chase, his brother, his father and mom all wore these in honor of the memory of his brother. Nikki did a first look with her Dad. It was a wonderful moment during the day. Since Nikki is an only child it was really meaningful and full of emotion. Her dad had special bracelets made for Nikki and her mom and presented them with only a few tears. 😉Their entry table was GORGEOUS. Lisa with Coco Fleur does it again!!! We love working with you, Lisa. 😉 The print on the left is something we gift our new clients with in their welcome gift and even though this isn’t the first time we’ve had a client display it on their wedding day it always chokes me up to see it on display. Our hope is that they will display this print in their home as a reminder, on one of those difficult days in a marriage, of the vows they took and the reason behind it. I do get quite attached to each of our wedding couples, but when we’ve worked so closely for almost a year and been included in family functions and already met some of their extended family it makes it that much harder for me to not get emotional during their ceremony. This ceremony was a bit more emotional than usual. I was actually wiping tears off my face as I photographed their vows. I even had a few guests mention it to me at the reception. YES, I KNOW! I’m sappy like that. Guess, I need to “reign it in” Huh, Nikki? 😉 LOL!This. This memory box. Saylor made this for Nikki and Chase. It will eventually house their wedding album and hopefully many important mementos from their life together over the years. I can’t tell you just how PROUD I am of the love and craftmanship that Saylor pours into these memory boxes. You can find them on our Etsy shop: Two Daughters HeirloomsNikki and Chase we love you both and wish you many years of love and laughter! See you soon.
