Rain seemed to be the theme for the month of November.  We have had to reschedule and rearrange more things this month than at any time I can remember since we opened our business!  It has been one crazy month.

Like a miracle, as soon as we finished Jenny & Michael’s first look and were beginning their portraits the rain stopped.  It was the only time ALL day that it wasn’t a complete downpour.  I checked the time stamps on the photos and we had exactly SIX minutes outside before it started to rain heavily again.  SIX MINUTES!!!  No pressure. LOL! 🙂

We had SO much fun during this bridal session with the gorgeous Jenny.  Jenny’a mom came along to help and she lugged that amazing pink chair from Rent My Dust all over the place AND she was an excellent veil tosser.  I think she could be considered a professional by the end of the session. 😉

I love this location near The Filter Building at White Rock Lake.  With the yummy sunset light and hardly even a tiny breeze this was a dream of a bridal to shoot!  This is one of my favorite bridals in a long time.  Maybe ever! Sooooooo, the weather this month has been ridiculous, YES?  We can all agree on that, right?  On the one Saturday of November that promised to be beautiful we had the craziest wind imaginable.  I wasn’t sure if shooting in that wind, and by White Rock Lake no less, would make for the best photo shoot conditions.  Emily and Sean were adventurous and said what the heck, let’s give it a shot!  I’m so glad we did!!  I’m going to go as far to say that Emily may have even looked MORE beautiful with the wind whipping her hair!

We shot Allison and Chase’s engagement photos on what must have been THE BUSIEST day Arbor Hills has seen all fall.  There were people getting photos taken EVERYWHERE.  It was craziness! You wouldn’t know it though, because these two were so focused on each other that it was like there wasn’t a another person around.  🙂  Engagement Sessions are my FAVORITE!  We love getting to hang out with a couple and get to know them and find out more about them and laugh together.

Oh Goodness, where do I even begin?!!! Nikki and Chase have become like family to us over the last year that we have been working with them.  I have photographed just about every session possible with these two and Nikki alone and we even had the honor of being asked to document Nikki’s grandparents 60 year vow renewal.  That was a highlight of our year to be sure.  To say we were looking forward to Nikki and Chase’s wedding would be an understatement!

left is something we gift our new clients with in their welcome gift and even though this isn’t the first time we’ve had a client display it on their wedding day it always chokes me up to see it on display.  Our hope is that they will display this print in their home as a reminder, on one of those difficult days in a marriage, of the vows they took and the reason behind functions and already met some of their extended family it makes it that much harder for me to not get emotional during their ceremony.  This ceremony was a bit more emotional than usual.  I was actually wiping tears off my face as I photographed their vows.  I even had a few guests mention it to me at the reception.  YES, I KNOW!  I’m sappy like that.
