It’s been said there is nothing like a traditional June wedding, but I believe in Texas there is nothing like an OCTOBER wedding. It was a gorgeous October day when Saylor and I arrived to Meredith’s room at The Crown Plaza in Addison and I was just about giddy with excitement! The getting ready part of the day is my favorite. There is something about documenting all the little details of the day that makes me feel like we are doing something very important. We may not be discovering the cure for cancer, but in my opinion documenting a couple’s wedding day is serious business. Hopefully, they will look back on their album in the future, maybe on a day when being married isn’t quite so fun, and remember the love and excitement they felt on their wedding day and it will make a difference. Every couple we shoot finds a special little place in my heart and they live there forever.
Okay, so I get a little sappy when posting wedding photos………….just deal with it. 🙂

P I N this to pinterestMeredith and Cutter opted to do a First Look. I was SOOOOOO beyond excited that they decided to do this. It really relieves some of the nerves and gives the couple a private moment to see each other before the whirlwind that is about to occur. A first look is also perfect to take some time to fit in some relaxed couple portraits. We HIGHLY recommend doing this on your wedding day.

Then it was on to the reception at the Addison Event Center. Meredith makes cakes for a living and she had a friend make the groom’s cake for her and Cutter. Melissa you did an amazing job!
