mckinney and plano christmas photography sessionP I N this to pinterestWe are so excited about our Holiday Mini-Sessions this year!  We have chosen two all new, fabulous locations in McKinney and the Highland Park area of Dallas for this year’s sesssions. We also have several exciting new product offerings developed specifically for our 2011 Holiday clients.  The best part, and the part I’m MOST excited about, is that this year we will be doing in person ordering appointments for each and every one of our holiday mini-sessions clients!!  That means with your mini-session you will get a taste of what we are usually only able to offer for our FULL session clients at mini-session pricing.  Now THAT is something to get excited about!

We know that all of the different product and holiday greeting card options can be extremely overwhelming so this year we will be there with our experience and expertise to walk you through the whole process and help you make all the big decisions.  Handholding and hugs are included at no additional charge. 😉

Now you are probably asking yourself, “What else is included in my mini-session?” Well, look no further:

A night of bridal fashion AND support a worth cause at the same time?  SIGN US UP! We are so honored and proud to be a sponsor for Pink Pride Brides!

bridal event supporting breast cancer

What exactly is Pink Pride Brides?  Here is a blurb from the official website:

Pink Pride Brides – Bridal Fashion for a Cause is a bridal fashion show which supports the fight against breast cancer. Featuring Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses and accessories from Mockingbird Bridal Boutique, Pink Pride Brides is your chance to get a glimpse of the latest wedding fashions while enjoying an assortment of hors d’oeuvres and beer and wine. From sleek sophistication to delicate lace, the fashion show will have something for everyone! There will be a drawing for prizes from local wedding vendors, plus the first 100 brides to register will receive a goodie bag.

Proceeds from the event goes to support The Bridge which helps uninsured women in the North Texas community who can’t afford to fight breast cancer.  Being a self-employed person this is a fear that is VERY real to me.  What would I do if I were to have an illness with crushing medical bills?  Thank goodness there are places like The Bridge where women can go for help.

Please help if you can and enjoy a fun evening at the same time.  Head on over to the Pink Pride Brides website for all the details. See you on October 18th!

We love to help our clients bring their visions to life.  We also like to shoot fun, different and creative images.  It’s what keeps our job exciting!

One of the ways we are able to effectively communicate our vision and align that with the clients vision is through creating inspiration boards.  We usually ask some questions about the couple, what they like to do and their favorite hangouts and then we begin brainstorming.  We put together an inspiration board and send it over to the clients, sometimes they will add to it and send it back.  Once we have a board that everyone is excited about then the rest of the planning is easy!  The location, clothing, props etc. are all lined out in the inspiration board. We love this concept SO much that we just hosted a giveaway based on inspiration boards.  We also recently spoke with The Texas Wedding Guide about how we collaborate with clients and they featured us on their blog and in their newsletter.

So today I want to share with you an engagement session from inspiration board to finished images.  Get ready to Rock and Roll!!!

When we talked with our clients about what they like to do together and their favorite hangouts etc. we found out that their hobby was playing Guitar Hero.  They would even be incorporating it into their wedding reception.  So, we came up with an inspiration board and even a “story” that we could tell with their engagement session.  The premise was that they would start off as street musicians, then graduate to playing  a coffee house and then on to the “BIG” stage and super ROCKSTAR-DOM.   We presented them with the inspiration board and story and they were game (and super excited by the way). Here is the board we created for them:

We shot the whole session in downtown McKinney.  We started on a fairly empty sidewalk and shot using all natural light. To bring some humor to the images Tori and Zach “played” their guitar hero guitars for the whole session.  It was a blast!  They even had a few passersby ask when the show would be starting.  I guess they were pretty convincing. 😉

Coffee Shop scene.  We used off camera flash for these images.  Then it was on to the big time……..

We waited for dark and set up the “stage” in an empty parking lot.  This was the most fun of the entire session!  We have the best and most fun clients ever!

Our favorite image from the session.

Just for fun we videoed portions of the session using a toy video camera.  The Harinezumi mimics super 8mm film so it looked vintage.  Then we used the footage and still images to put together a video for the rockin’ couple and they played it at their wedding reception right before their grand entrance.  Now, THAT’S what I call pulling it off like a rockstar!

We love collaborating with our clients to create something memorable and like nothing they have seen before!! What can we create with you?

Could it get ANY hotter in Texas?  I sure hope not!  Thank goodness we have super smart clients that booked an indoor location for their family shoot.  Last Saturday we met with the fabulous Ruibal family…..all 15 of them at The Sky Lobby in Dallas.  It was the perfect location for a hot day in July. 🙂

  • Beautiful Family! Great Job Cindy!! Love the colors!

  • I LOVE that they all dressed up!!

We are SOOO excited to announce this giveaway that we are doing with two of our VERY favorite wedding vendors Doodle Dog Advertising and Sweet Pea Events.  We are extremely blessed to work some of the best in the Dallas Wedding industry and can’t say enough good things about these two wedding businesses.

I mentioned in a recent blog post that we really love to work with creative couples.  We love it SO much that we want to give FREE photography to one lucky and extremely creative couple.  The type of weddings that inspire us the most are those that are lovingly created by a couple that takes the time and care to infuse every inch of their wedding with their unique personalities.  The words on every guests lips should be “this is SO them.”  Since not everyone is a designer or knows where to find the best resources it is helpful to pull together a team that can help make that a reality.  We think the Inspire Me team is the best to do that!!

So get to work on your entry now!  INSPIRE ME.
