I had such a great time shooting The Coffman family’s family portraits at the Frisco Heritage Museum in Frisco on Monday! They also did an awesome job of choosing outfits that coordinate without being matchy-matchy.  LOVE the grey and purple combo.  It went great with the rustic backdrop at the Frisco Heritage Museum.  Great job Coffmans!P I N this to pinterest

Trevor, Missy and Hunter win our troopers of the year award!  They met us downtown at sunrise for their engagement/family portrait session.  With the exception of getting up WAY before the sun I think I LOVE sunrise sessions.  The light is unbelievable and it is definitely the only way to photograph a session in this August heat.  Thanks Trevor and Missy for agreeing to give it a try.  I think the results are worth the little bit of sleep we all missed out on. 😉

This wedding (for us at least) has been a year in the making.  Last summer we ran a contest and Torin and Travis were the winners!!!  The contestants were required to create an inspiration board of their vision for their wedding day as their submission and then their friends and family voted for the favorite.  I’m thrilled that Torin and Travis won!  Not only was Torin’s inspiration board beautiful, but I actually photographed her high school senior photos what seems like forever ago! Actually, 2006 kind of WAS forever ago. Torin was and still is one of my favorite clients. 🙂

Their wedding day was as beautiful and heartfelt as the inspiration board promised it would be.  Saylor and I were honored to be a part of it!  Before sharing the photos from the big day I would like to share the inspiration board that started it all:

I’m so excited to finally get to share this wedding!!! Lydia and PJ got married recently at our FAVORITE venue, The Milestone in Denton.  It was such a laid back and fun day.  Lydia is an art teacher and she really put a lot of personal touches into the details.  She even designed her own wedding invitations!   I just love working with creative couples and especially ones that are so much fun!  I know I say this over and over, but we really have been blessed to be able to work with the most special couples.  I just love when it doesn’t really feel like a job, but rather like I’m documenting the wedding of a friend.  How lucky am I that I get to do this everyday?!!
