Last Saturday the Stockyards in Ft. Worth was packed.  It just happened to be one of the busiest weekends of the year!  As we arrived at the Stockyards Hotel the streets were already packed with people waiting for the St. Patrick’s day parade to start.  Somewhere among the madness two people were preparing to start their lives together.  It was the perfect day (wind and all) and we were honored to be there to capture it for two of the sweetest and most genuine clients we have worked with thus far.  Jacklyn and Ronnie, thank you for taking the time to make Saylor and I feel appreciated and allowing us into your circle of friends.  You guys are awesome!

Just a side note.  I just want you know that Jacklyn made all of the details herself.  She did all of the planning and I was extremely impressed.  Jacklyn, you are super talented!

I just have to mention that the thoughtfulness of this boutonniere is so sweet.  This is Ronnie’s boutonniere.  Jacklyn wore a necklace with a lock on it.  He literally had the key to her heart.  AWWWWWWWWW!!!!!! LOVE!

P I N this to pinterestThese spurs were a gift from the mother of the bride.  She had them custom made with their wedding logo on the side.  So, awesome!

Congratulations Jacklyn and Ronnie!

Jacklyn’s bridal session at Southfork (yes, THAT Southfork) was……eventful. 😉  It was definitely a shoot that I will never forget.  But, that’s a story better left for the bride to tell so on with sharing her gorgeous bridal portraits!!!

Jacklyn, you have been such a pleasure to work with!  You are beautiful inside and out.  Come back in a few days and see the wedding.  Here’s a hint, it’s pretty amazing! 😉

We had a fabulous time at Jacklyn and Ronnie’s rustic, romantic, Texas wedding at Stockyard Station in Fort Worth on Saturday.  I’m still downloading their images and I just HAD to stop and share a quick sneak peek with you guys.  The details that Jacklyn dreamed up where so incredibly beautiful!  I practically squealed when I walked into the reception room.  The thought, care and LOVE put into all the handmade details was gorgeous!!  Of course, this is just supposed to be a quick little peek so I can’t reveal everything just yet. 😉 However, check back in a few days to see Jacklyn’s bridal portraits and then as the week closes I’ll have a full blog post for you of this lovely southern affair.  Get ‘yer boots on ’cause it’s gonna be a doozy!!

This is a really special blog post for me.  This is my very good friend Melanie and her man Gabe.  Melanie and I have been friends for about a year.  She is that kind of friend that God sends your way when he knows you need one.  My friendship with Melanie has been a true blessing over the past year.  I was so honored when she decided to hire us to document their wedding.  I am so, so, so excited about it and know it’s going to be a gorgeous event, because clearly these two have GOOD taste. 😉

When you are trying to schedule a photo session outdoors during the winter in Texas you know you are going to have some issues.  We had to reshedule Mel & Gabe’s engagement shoot 3 times because of weather and wouldn’t you know it the threat of rain was pretty serious on this day too, but we decided to go for it and I’m SO glad we did.  The light was soft and pretty and beautiful!

We started out at The Winspear Opera House reflecting pool for some dressy, modern shots and then headed to my top secret woodsy location for some cuddly, cozy casual shots.  I love both looks, but my favorite part of the shoot was at the end with the sound of water rolling by in the creek.  It was relaxing and cozy and they looked like a Ralph Lauren ad. LOVE! Dressy, Modern + Cozy, Casual Engagement session= Mission Accomplished. P I N this to pinterest

Mary Jo and Louis wed at the beautiful Four Seasons in Los Colinas.  It was one of the last unseasonably warm days of this winter and it was an absolutely beautiful day!! It was a relaxed, laid back day and I loved how involved their sweet family was in the whole occasion. Their two daughters made the most beautiful flower girls.  It was a great way to wrap up our last wedding of 2012!!
