We usually try to blog on a Friday, but I JUST couldn’t wait ANY longer to share these engagement photos of Bailey and Cody.  We had originally planned to do their session back in December, but got frozen out.  Literally.  Remember the big freeze at the beginning of December? Yeah, that one.  I think it was fate though because we couldn’t have asked for a better day for their session.  Also, it gave us time to find this location that was absolute PERFECTION for the shoot!

I knew their shoot was going to be a blast when they pulled up and Bailey immediately jumped out of the truck and gave me a big hug.  We laughed and joked the whole shoot and even got a little background on why Cody is such a natural in front of the camera. *wink wink*  It’s a secret that I’LL never tell!  Oh, I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun we had with these two and absolutely CAN’T wait to hang out with them again soon!

We headed out to Alicia and Michael’s neck of the woods (literally) last weekend to shoot some fun engagement photos of this sweet couple.  We met them at the Kaufman City Lake park where they often hang out and go fishing together.  The light was gorgeous and even the wind didn’t stop us from having a great time getting to know Alicia and Michael.  We are so excited about your May wedding and can’t wait to hang out with y’all again soon!

Oh, how I LOVE everything about this engagement session!!!  We always encourage the couples we work with to personalize their session by picking a location or activity that means something to them.  Emily & Brad absolutely WIN at this!!!  They knew that Quarter Bar in Uptown Dallas would be the perfect location for their engagement session since it holds a lot of meaning for them.  It’s where they first met and was a favorite location for them to hang out when their apartment was just across the street.  It was almost as if it was a second home for them and it was the perfect location!!

Last Saturday we switched gears from weddings to our annual Fall Family Mini-Sessions.  I forget how much fun family sessions can be!  The day flew by SO fast that I couldn’t believe it.  It was a BIT chilly and definitely windy, but our clients showed up smiling and every last one was dressed fabulously so that made the chill in the air totally worth it.  It was a GREAT day.  Check out a few of our favorites from our Fall Mini-Sessions. 🙂

We have been so excited for Rachel & DJ’s wedding!  They are one of the sweetest, most laid-back and down right FUN couples we have worked with this year!  Also, I’m totally a sucker for their sweet story.  These two were friends in high school and that’s all.  Just friends.  Yada, yada, yada and of course, you already know how the story ends (happily ever after, duh!).  LOL!  Bonus points to those who got my Seinfeld reference. 😉  Anyway, I love that Rachel & DJ were friends in high school and one day they realized they were actually more and now they are married.  I can’t think of a better way for a love story to begin than with friendship. Can you?!

rachdjWED_photogfavs_064P I N this to pinterest One of the neatest parts of working with this couple is that they brought an important party of their love story and incorporated it into their engagement session AND the wedding.  DJ’s car from high school, the same car they spent countless hours hanging out in as friends, is what they used to make their get away as newlyweds.  I seriously have a lump in my throat just thinking about how amazingly AWESOME that is!!!  I just love that tangible link from their past is how they sped off into their future.  SIGH.  I’m such a sap and that’s what I love most about getting to know our couples.
