Fall Mini Sessions 2014

It’s that time of year again! Yes, already. 2014 is just flying by. We’ve taken off most of the summer to add a new addition to our family. Miss Nora Reagan Mills was born on September 3, 2014 and we will be introducing her in her very own blog post soon. 🙂

In the meantime, we are excited to get back to work! We have some fun weddings coming up and the EVENT everyone looks forward to FALL MINI SESSIONS!!! This year we will be holding our 2014 Fall Mini-Sessions on November 8th in Parker, Texas. This year’s location is a little off the beaten path, but it’s TOTALLY worth it. Check out where we will be shooting this year’s mini sessions:

A mini-session is a great, quick and painless way to get an updated photo. Many of our clients send out holiday cards and it’s the perfect opportunity to get a great photo for that tradition! Of course, we think that there is never a reason to NOT take a photo and document where you are during this time in your life so any ‘ol excuse will do. We welcome families, couples, seniors, and even individuals to sign up for a mini-session.

This year’s mini-sessions are $200. for 20 mins and includes 10 digital images w/ a print release. Also included is an online viewing & ordering gallery where you will be able to order prints and products at special reduced holiday pricing. We are only offering 12 times slots between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm so the availability is very limited. You can purchase 2 back to back time slots and have a FULL photo session or get the whole extended family together and each of you purchase a time slot for your individual family unit then we can get you all together for a big family portrait in between. This is just a few ways we’ve had clients use our mini sessions!!

We’ve already had several clients asking for the dates of this year’s minis so we know these are going to go FAST! Devon + Jason: Engaged!!! | Plano, Texas | Outdoor Engagement Session

Devon and Jason=SO. MUCH. FUN! Jason had us laughing their entire session. Devon may have rolled her eyes at him a few times, but I know she loves his sense of humor! You could just tell they are a couple that spends most of their time together laughing. I really, really like that about them. Laughing is my favorite. 😉

They are such a laid back couple and I know their wedding day is going to be a blast!! Can’t wait to celebrate with them in October at our fave venue in Denton, The Milestone!P I N this to pinterest

Lynn + John: Engaged!! | Frisco Heritage Museum Engagement | Frisco, Texas

We just can’t say it enough…..we LOVE when we have clients that trust us and allow us to “do our thing.” Lynn and John are definitely those clients. We knew that an engagement session in late June was going to be miserably hot, especially with all the rain we’ve had recently. HELLO HUMIDITY! We are so thankful that they went along with our suggestion for a sunrise session. It was so peaceful, with a nice little breeze. We shot their engagement session at one of our favorite locations, the Frisco Heritage Museum. It’s usually pretty crowded as it’s a super popular location for photo shoots, but we had the place ALL TO OURSELVES at 6am last Saturday. It was wonderful. 🙂

We completely enjoyed capturing these two at sunrise and hope we get the chance to do more sunrise sessions. I mean just check out that amazing light in the last photos at the end of this post! Plus, bonus, we like donuts and they are the perfect reward for getting up early. 😉 Thanks Lynn and John for being awesome! We can’t wait to hang out with y’all again soon!P I N this to pinterest

Rebecca + Ryan: Engaged!! | Plano, Texas | Arbor Hills Engagement session

I first met with Rebecca and Ryan WAY back in November to talk about their upcoming wedding in 2015 at The Milestone. It seems like forever ago and then again, the time has also flown by. I’m glad we finally got the chance to spend some time with these two to shoot their engagement session at Arbor Hills in Plano. They were up for anything! I asked them to sit in this huge grass burr patch, because it was next to the perfect fence and they plopped right down, no questions asked! I’d say the trillions of tiny grass burrs in their jeans ( AND MINE) were totally worth it. 😉P I N this to pinterest

Then we caught the very last glimpse of sun as it was setting. Little did we know we were in the worst chigger patch known to man. I hope you guys didn’t get any!!! Jenna + Tyler: Married!! | The Milestone | Denton, Texas

As superstition and tradition predict, rain on your wedding day are supposed to be good luck. Well, as luck would have it Jenna & Tyler’s wedding day at The Milestone in Denton, Texas started off with some showers and a forecast that threatened rain for most of the day. Their luck holding true turned May 31st into a beautiful day with puffy clouds. It was a picture perfect day!!

The day flew by so fast that it was over before we even had a moment to catch our breath! I can’t imagine how fast the day must have seemed to the lovely bride & groom! I’m so glad that they invited us to be a part of their perfect day. I know I say it over and over that we have the best clients (and I truly believe it), but THIS was a special couple. It was evident throughout the day just how perfect these two are for each other. They just couldn’t stop smiling and you could feel the excitement in the air. Their families were beyond excited for them and I couldn’t be happier for Jenna & Tyler. Thanks for trusting us with your wedding memories and inviting us into your lives!

P I N this to pinterestOne of my favorite parts of the day was when Jenna had a First Look with her Dad and three older brothers. The love, admiration and care these men show for sweet Jenna is unbelievable!!! I wanted to hug every one of those guys for being so sweet. I’m sure Jenna and her brothers had their fair share of sibling angst growing up, but the special relationship they all share as adults was extremely touching.P I N this to pinterest

One of my favorite details of the day was during the ceremony when Jenna & Tyler signed a family Bible that has been in Jenna’s family for more than 120 years and it been signed by each couple on their wedding day. WOW! I must admit I was wiping away tears several times during this ceremony.P I N this to pinterest
