Down on the farm.

This week we’ll be blogging on the road.  Saylor and I are shooting some work for a commercial client this week in the Texas Hill Country.  Yesterday we spent time meeting some farmers, and their families and documenting their work day.

Farming is a job that is near and dear to our hearts.  I grew up on a farm where my family grew watermelons, cantaloupes and squash.  Saylor and I also farmed for the first 2 years we were married.  It’s a hard life.  Lots of work and long hours.  A little bit like being a photographer except there isn’t as much dirt involved in photography.  Well, not usually anyway.  Yesterday there was plenty of dirt. AND WIND!!!  Man, was it windy.

Take a look at some of the images we captured yesterday.
