I got to spend a fun afternoon with Sarah and her mom last Sunday getting some Senior portraits for this fun Plano East Senior.  Sarah requested a fall look with red and yellow leaves and I think we found the perfect location for her Senior portraits.  Shhhh, it’s a secret location, but I’ll share it with you if you want to take some rustic photos on the creek. 😉  Thanks Sarah, you ROCKED your photos!!!

This engagement session has been a year in the making!  I first met with Jacklyn last fall to chat with her about her upcoming Texas wedding to Ronnie at the Ft. Worth Stockyards in March.  We hit it off immediately and have become friends!  Jacklyn is one of the most organized brides and I just LOVE her excitement and enthusiasm for planning her wedding.  The couple has put a lot of personality into their wedding design and I can’t wait to see all the details!

We hung out last Wednesday at the Fort Worth Stockyards and wrapped up their engagement session at Billy Bob’s Texas.  Ronnie’s great sense of humor had us all laughing the entire session.  These two are so much fun and I can’t believe I am so lucky to have such a great job that allows me to meet such sweet people. 🙂

Missy and Trevor came to us as a referral from one of our favorite couples and they were a great fit!  We hit it off and have really enjoyed getting to know them and their adorable son, Hunter.  We’ve been anticipating photographing the their  wedding in Wylie for quite awhile, but I couldn’t believe how quickly the day came and went.  It was a beautiful day in November for a wedding at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Wylie, Texas.  I have been so excited about taking their bride and groom portraits in front of the quaint little chapel at St. Anthony’s and I prayed and prayed that it would be a beautiful day and my prayers were answered.  It couldn’t have been more perfect!

It’s no secret that I often shed a few tears during the ceremony of many of our clients.  By the time the ceremony rolls around I am usually so attached to them that it is like I’m photographing the wedding of dear friends.  During Becca and Chris’s big day I found myself choked up not once, not twice, but THREE times.  Yes, folks that may be a record.  Becca, Chris and their friends were so sweet and helpful and they really made us feel welcome and like part of the gang.  Their ceremony had the most beautiful and heartfelt words and Becca and Chris’s love for each other lit up the room.  I was also extremely moved by their commitment to keeping each other accountable to God and also the support by their friends to do the same.  This was definitely a very special group of people and I hope that our photographs are able to do justice to just how beautiful that day was in reality.

  • Jessica B

Love Chris’s boutonniere! Any idea of the source?

  • I’m not sure. I think the bride may have made it herself. It was made from silk flowers.

Where to begin?  I LOVE this family!!!  I know I say that about all my clients and it is true, but sometimes we just have an extra special connection with a family.  The Folkes actually go to church with us and I met Kathryn and Gene when I was asked to take a portrait of them for a project I’ve been helping our minister with.  They are truly and genuinely some of the most interesting people I have met.  I really enjoy when you meet people and they skip right over small talk and get right to the interesting, thought provoking topics.  I think I could chat with these two for hours and it would feel like minutes. 🙂 So, having worked with The Folkes briefly before I was extremely excited when they asked Saylor and I to take some family photos for them.  It was so fun to meet Katelyn as she is currently attending school at my Alma Mater, Lubbock Christian University.  <insert plug for the best school in the world>  Ha ha! Seriously, I was so blessed to get to chat with her for a bit about what life is like for her at LCU and it was fun to have that instant connection with her.   I was happy to hear that LCU is having the same life changing impact on her that it did on me. 🙂

Ok, onto the photos of this beautiful family…………
