Hi, we’re Cindy and Saylor Mills, a husband and wife photography team…

We’ve know each other since Jr. High where we grew up in the same youth group. It wasn’t exactly love at first sight. Actually, we can barely remember holding more than one or two conversations with each other during that time. We DO have a handful of youth group photos from the early ’90s that we are both in and that’s pretty cool. We reconnected after college (for me) and the Marines (for him) and the rest, as they say, is history.

In our former lives we have held the following jobs: high school art teacher, Sargent in the Marine Corps, jailer, receptionist, butcher, delivery driver, vegetable farmer and a few more that aren’t worth mentioning. We began our current adventures in photography in 2006 and haven’t looked back since. We have built this business together since the beginning and it has been a labor of love every step of the way! We joke that growing our photography business has been like raising a child. Speaking of children we have two beautiful girls. Mia (age 10) and Nora (8 months). Mia loves to occasionally assist us on sessions. She’s great at carrying light stands. Nora hasn’t found her niche yet so her job is just to be cute for the time being. She’s very good at it. 🙂

Our Reason Why

It’s hard to put into exact words the reason WHY we have chosen wedding photography. We are passionate about marriage, passing down traditions and documenting relationships for future generations. We work hard to create a tangible family heirloom for each of our couples that they can use to remember the joy, beauty and excitement at the beginning of their marriage as well as pass down to their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Of course, we want you to remember your wedding day, but we are also documenting for the daughter who someday will flip through your wedding album and dream of her own wedding day. And the granddaughter who will be able to look in the mirror and see her grandmother’s reflection staring back at her. That moment when you realize that you are just a dot connecting the past to the future and that you are passing on a heritage of love. THAT is why we do what we do.

We believe in family history and traditions and the role your past plays in your future. We are truly excited about creating heirlooms to be passed down to future generations and to helping you document your place in history.
