Meredith + Cutter:: Engaged!!

WOW! Our wedding couples this year are adventurous! We love it. When Meredith and Cutter told me they wanted to do their engagement photos in camo and with their hunting stuff I about jumped out of my seat with excitement! It was seriously SO fun! I am so in love with the photos on the dirt road. Work it Meredith! RAWR!!! The images in cameo are also some of my favorites EVER! Hot pink heels, cameo and guns…….just a regular day in the life of a photographer. I once had a friend tell me that my life looks like one never ending E-Harmony commercial and I LIKE it that way. ;) ... Read full post

Rock on.

We made it home! Four days of documenting farmers and their hard work and I need a serious nap. Also, I feel like I still have some dirt in my nose. Did I mention how windy it was? Anyway, we made it home and are really looking forward to the long weekend. A good shower and some lounging on the couch are in order. :) I’ll be sharing more images from our trip soon. In the meantime I am SOOO excited to share this fun engagement session. Can’t wait for the super ROCKIN’ wedding in July. We have some really fun stuff planned to premier at their reception, but couldn’t wait to share a small sneak peek.... Read full post

Down on the farm.

This week we’ll be blogging on the road. Saylor and I are shooting some work for a commercial client this week in the Texas Hill Country. Yesterday we spent time meeting some farmers, and their families and documenting their work day. Farming is a job that is near and dear to our hearts. I grew up on a farm where my family grew watermelons, cantaloupes and squash. Saylor and I also farmed for the first 2 years we were married. It’s a hard life. Lots of work and long hours. A little bit like being a photographer except there isn’t as much dirt involved in photography. Well, not usually anyway. Yesterday there was plenty of dirt. AND WIND!!! Man, was it windy. Take a look at some of the images we captured yesterday.... Read full post

My favorite couple of the year…… | Hill Country Engagement Photographer

Sorry, I know it’s not nice to play favorites, but this is my brother, Ed, and his beautiful new wife Rachael. They win favorite couple by default. Sorry. :( Well, not exactly by default, because they are pretty cool. For real! I am so excited to have Rachael as part of the family! She is fun to chat with, teases my brother along with the rest of us and has AWESOME hair. She even taught me how to cut Mia’s bangs (a task I have not yet mastered). My brother (almost 11 years younger by the way) and I fought a lot growing up. Usually, over what to watch on TV. He liked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I wanted to watch Gone with the Wind on a continuous loop. We also fought over silly stuff like how he couldn’t wear his carpet jacket (hey it was the 90′s) to school the same day I was because my high school friends thought is was lame that my brother in KINDERGARTEN and I had matching jackets. It was LAME, but now that I look back I LOVE that he wanted to match me. What a complement that I had a little brother who thought so highly of me. ... Read full post
